Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026. How In Praise of China SAS ("In Praise of China", "we") handles personal information and advertising-platform data.
1. Who we are
In Praise of China provides an advertising management application and agency services using Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising data. General: contact@inpraiseofchina.com. Privacy: privacy@inpraiseofchina.com.
2. Personal information
- Name, email, and company details from inquiries and onboarding.
- Service account identifiers and correspondence.
- Contract and invoice records. Card data is never collected on this website.
3. Advertising-platform data (only accounts you authorize)
When you connect the In Praise of China application through each platform's OAuth authorization screen, it accesses only the accounts you select: campaigns, ad groups, ads, budgets, bids, spend, clicks, impressions, conversions, performance metrics, account identifiers, and structure.
4. How the application uses it
- Connecting and verifying your accounts.
- Campaign analysis, budget pacing, performance monitoring.
- Weekly summaries, alerts, and recommendations.
- Account actions you approve in the application.
Google Limited Use: Google user data obtained through Google APIs is used only for the purposes described in this policy — operating the In Praise of China application's requested features — and in accordance with Google's API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. We do not sell it and do not use it for unrelated advertising.
5. AI processing
Advertising data may be processed by our own AI layer on systems we operate (locally-hosted models) to draft summaries and flag anomalies. No external AI provider receives your Google Ads data. Outputs are advisory; the application changes accounts only with your approval.
6. Google and Microsoft scopes
Google Ads API scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords. Microsoft Advertising permission: https://ads.microsoft.com/msads.manage (plus offline_access where refresh tokens maintain a connection you requested). No other Google or Microsoft advertising scopes are requested.
7. Sharing
Only hosting and email providers under confidentiality; Google/Microsoft as your integrations require; authorities where legally required; a successor with notice. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Retention and deletion
Transient processing: rolling reporting cache up to 90 days. Tokens encrypted at rest, separate from caches. On disconnect, tokens deleted promptly; cached data for that account deleted within 30 days. Full deletion requests honored within 30 days except legal retention. privacy@inpraiseofchina.com.
9. Revoking access
- In the In Praise of China application: disconnect the account.
- Google: remove access in your Google Account third-party access settings.
- Microsoft: remove consent in your Microsoft account app settings.
10. Security
HTTPS/TLS in transit. We encrypt credentials and tokens at rest, never handle platform passwords, restrict access by role under least privilege, revoke on disconnect, and maintain monitoring with incident response including legally required notification. No certifications claimed. See Security.
11. Notifications
Summaries and alerts go only to addresses you provide, with preference and opt-out instructions.
12. Rights (GDPR / CCPA/CPRA)
Access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection; California know/delete/correct rights; no sale of data. Bases: contract, consent, legitimate interests, legal obligation. privacy@inpraiseofchina.com; DPAs on request.
13. Children
Business service for users 18+. Not directed to children.
14. Cookies
Strictly-necessary functions only — no analytics or advertising cookies. See Cookie Policy.
15. Changes
Posted here with a new date; connected users notified by email beforehand.
